EXCEPTIONAL FIT, EXCEPTIONALLY MADE, EXCEPTIONAL PLAY
The Izett Truly Custom Fit Process is about analysis, not selling. It begins with a two hour Core Fitting designed to provide the precise measurements we need to ensure EXCEPTIONAL FIT.
1. We use proprietary Load Measuring Technology to determine the amount of force you apply to the shaft during the downswing. This measurement allows us to determine, with precision, the correct shaft flex for you.
- Other fitting processes use swing speed as a surrogate for load.
- Research proves that two golfers who share every measurable parameter including swing speed, tempo, and length and style of swing do in fact apply different amounts of force to the shaft during the downswing.
- For this reason, swing speed can only provide a rough flex recommendation, while our Load Measuring Technology provides a recommendation to within one tenth of a flex.
- You can only perform your best if your shaft flex is selected based on a direct measurement of load.
2. We analyze your existing equipment using a frequency measurement to determine which of your clubs may already be properly fit. If you have a favorite club or two in your bag, we'll find out why.
3. We use a proprietary Static Length Measuring Methodology to measure for length. This allows us to find the optimal length for maintaining balance and creating the proper plane throughout the swing. This methodology was developed by the Izett founder, George M. Izett and has been used for over 50 years to fit thousands of golfers.
4. We determine the correct grip size based on many factors including palm length, finger length and hand density.
After your Core Fitting, we can continue with a Driver Fitting which is similarly designed to deliver EXCEPTIONAL FIT.
1. We begin your fitting by establishing a base line from your existing driver.
- If we are not able to generate a substantial improvement in distance and control based on different combinations of shaft type, length and driver loft, it will be evident from the results.
2. To give us tangible verification of the results recorded during a fitting, we utilize a Zelocity Pure Launch dual radar launch monitor.
- This is truly leading technology because the dual radar system set 60 inches behind the ball allows for the actual measurement (versus algorithmic calculation) of the key factors of club head speed, ball speed and the first 17 feet of ball flight.
- We utilize the HTec interchangeable driver head and shaft technology developed by Nakashima Golf and the Connex system with Izett Golf driver heads.
- This allows us to investigate your response to different combinations of club head loft and shaft options.
- We also test your results from varying driver lengths (45.5", 45" and 44.5") to ascertain the most effective combination of control and ball velocity available.
- Then different driver lofts are tested to find that loft which provides the best combination of launch angle and spin rate.
3. The final step is to test among shafts of different manufacturers that are set to the same "playing flex."
- This provides the true ability to discern the unique feel of different shafts - isolating those shafts that respond to your loading and feel and that promote the most confidence and the best results.
Combining the extensive information gathered during your fittings with Izett’s Truly Custom Craftsmanship, you'll enjoy the EXCEPTIONAL PLAY that can only result from such attention to detail.
EXCEPTIONALLY MADE means this attention to detail is applied to every club we make.We make every club by hand so, as an example, when making a driver, our master club makers precisely match the shaft, head, "playing flex" (via actual frequency measurements) and balance of the optimal test driver.
Club manufacturers do not account for variations by testing each and every club's "playing flex," loft, face angle, balance or length. We do.
- That’s why, when purchasing a manufactured club, you may have heard the advice "Buy the exact driver that you hit well.” The brand new one that looks exactly like it (in the rack or ordered), is not, in fact, exactly the same and will most probably not play the same.
