The Mental Game

The Mental Game

The mental game matters.  According to GolfPsych, our mental game partner, a National Golf Foundation study in 2000 confirmed that players who purposely work on their mental game have handicaps that average four shots lower than players that don't!  That's why one key element of the "Your Game" part of The Golf Matrix is your mental game.

Working on your mental game offers you the opportunity to shoot lower scores
by improving potential and reducing interference - at the same time!

True to the Golf Matrix philosophy, we address the mental game every time you visit us.  However, to take full advantage of all the improvement available by focusing on the mental game you need to do more.

As our school is directed by a GolfPsych certified instructor, we have the tools to help you develop this crucial part of your game including:

  • Lessons, including playing lessons, that focus on the mental game:

        • transferring your range game to the course
        • transferring your casual round ability to tournaments
        • developing appropriate mental routines
        • maintaining focus
        • dealing with distractions and adversity

  • Testing to evaluate your mental conditioning, and personalized recommendations regarding:

        • mental skills
        • personality

  • Guided reading:
        • newsletters, articles, books

If you are not directly and purposely working on your mental game, you are simply leaving shots out on the course.
